Of course this is a large tour and we were in a bus, so when we went to the Boyana church, since only 10 people are allowed at a time inside, there was a lot of waiting in the cold until everyone got to enter. The places were beautiful though, it was just a long trip, we spent more time traveling than at the places of interest, but as a day trip from Sofia I would still recommend this as the places are a must see and it’s a great alternative from having to plan and drive…”

“Great trip. Loved that the logistics were all organised but I could go at my own pace for the hike. I skipped the top 2 lakes so I could do the rest of the hike at a slower pace and enjoy the scenery but all 7 lakes are easily do-able in the time if you’re fit enough and happy to go at a quicker pace. I wore trainers and these were fine, the higher 2 lakes still had snow on the track so this may have been a bit more difficult. Would recommend.”

Bus was comfortable, driver did great navigating mountain roads. Hike at 7 lakes was amazing, but little muddy as there is still snow. Tour guide was willing to help everyone navigate even with different languages.”
